Information for patients re closure of Whitley Villa Surgery

After consultation with patients and the local community, the practice has taken the decision to close Whitley Villa Surgery on 16 December 2024.

This closure has been approved by the relevant committee at the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board.

Closure is due to:

  • the unsustainable upkeep of the building with damp, basement area flooding, rotting sash windows and subsidence
  • building being non-DDA compliant (no disabled parking or lift)
  • inefficient use of reception staff (due to layout of working areas)
  • safer working for staff (issues of lone working)

When this closure happens, you, as a patient will not need to take any action. There will be no change to the phone number and the clinician who worked at the Whitley Villa site will be now working at the Northcourt Avenue site with no loss of appointments

Please be assured, the practice remains committed to continue providing high quality services.

If you have any queries about the closure of the branch surgery, please direct them to Fiona Mullin who can be contacted via switchboard or by email fiona.mullin@nhs.net
