Johns Hopkins Clinical Group Score
The NHS uses information from patients' health records to help identify people who may benefit from additional support or proactive care.
One tool used for this is the Johns Hopkins Clinical Group (JHCG) score. The score is calculated automatically using information already held in NHS records, such as age, long-term health conditions, and previous healthcare use. It helps healthcare organisations understand the health needs of their population and plan services appropriately.
The score does not affect the care you receive, your access to appointments, or your NHS entitlement. It is simply a planning and risk-stratification tool used to support healthcare services.
If you would like further information about how your health information is used, please visit the NHS website on confidentiality and data sharing.
