A Patient Participation Group, or PPG for short, is a group of volunteer patients and GP practice staff who meet regularly and work together to improve the quality of care and outcomes for patients, and help strengthen the relationship between the practice and our patients.
The PPG is essentially a communication channel to enable sharing of information. PPG members contribute ideas, feedback and suggestions to help the practice tailor services towards the needs of our patients and enhance the overall patient experience.
We are keen to recruit more members. We are looking for people from all ages and sections of the community to ensure it is representative. Members will be invited to attend meetings at the surgery or via Microsoft Teams to discuss ideas about the Practice and its services to patients. This is a great opportunity to get involved and engage in dialogue with the Practice from the patients’ point of view.
The Group is predominantly a viritual group but meets face-to-face once or twice a year. Meetings usually last for around an hour.
